Currently our art-department started designing the sketches, interfaces and data-visuals for the film Symmetry. Inspired by science particle collision visualisations and modern dance. Check out our image-reference board on Pinterest.
Some first tests we did with a Kinect camera setup and moving body capturing time-based 3D models of a dance. For certain sequences in de film Symmetry we’re developing this film technique to connect dance-data and quantum physical data in one image.
Symmetry is a 20 minute sci-fi dance & opera film, in which CERN-researcher Lukas is thrown off balance while working on the theory of everything and the smallest particle. Through Claron's singing he rediscovers love, on an endless expanse of ice. She takes him along to the moment before the Big Bang, when time didn’t exist; a love with no end...
