Claron McFadden is an award-winning American soprano singer living in Amsterdam and performing internationally within a wide range of disciplines. She’s playing the female part in the film Symmetry. In the story she’s the inner voice of our main character Lukas, who is making him fall into the Large Hadron Collider and ending up in an endless landscape - the moment before the big bang… Check out the TED talk she did in the video about the “primal voice”.
We are aiming to film in this location in Bolivia Uyuni next to filming inside CERN the Hadron Collider. This landscape is where our main character ends up, after falling into the CERN-machine. Soprano Claron McFadden is ruling this endless landscape in the story; representing the moment before the big bang - perfect symmetry… Currently looking for a sponsor to stimulate these wonderful scenes in the film.
Our first day of shooting in the Large Hadron Collider tunnel @CERN went well last Friday. With a super tight time schedule and heavy security measures, we managed to capture soprano Claron McFadden, choreographer Lukas Timulak and 4 dancers on film. In the story Claron’s voice will lure our main character into the ‘gateway-tube’ and transform him and his fellow scientists into an atom particle…
Currently we’re making these collages to pre-visualise certain details in the film production. In this image you see Claron McFadden on the ice landscape; some potential styling choices. Lukas Timulak lying behind her on the ice, going through a dance ritual… [image sketch i.c.w. Adriana Gerasimova]
